Where to stay
***Update 4/8/18***
Our hotel block for our wedding is at the Marriott Resort Wailea Beach. Due to the popularity of Memorial Day weekend, all of the rooms at our hotel are currently booked.
To be added to the waiting list for a room, please send an email with your check-in/check-out dates to: info@mauiroomblocks.com
We are pleased to offer our guests a discounted room block rate at the Marriott Resort Wailea Beach in the beautiful and relaxing area of South Maui. We like it because it offers the best opportunity for great weather, it underwent a recent renovation, it is within a few minutes walking distance to two sandy beaches, there are separate adult and children's pool areas, along with the other fine amenities offered on the property. Close in proximity are the Wailea Shops as well as a convenient market deli for keeping your room stocked.
For guests renting cars (which we might suggest if you want to visit other parts of Maui), there is a discounted parking valet rate as a part of our block. Shuttles will conveniently depart to and from the ceremony from the Wailea Beach Marriott lobby entrance.
Hotel block rooms are offered in Garden View Rooms or Ocean View Rooms.

Alternative lodging
There are myriad options for lodging available on Maui. You can find vacation rental condos, to an entire house split between friends, to travel packages, and even an inexpensive 'glamping' campsite! Here are a few other sites to help with your search:
Flying into Maui
Maui's main airport is in Kahului (Airport code: OGG). All popular airlines have several daily flights into Kahului (OGG).
Samantha & Peter will be in Maui May 22nd through May 30th.
Travel Tips
- To save money: set up a flight price alert on Google Flights using the "Track Prices" feature.
- For the fastest travel: find 1-stop flights which connect through LAX or SFO.
- If you have extra time: we recommend taking a quick flight over to any of the other Hawaiian islands. Each island has its own unique flavor.
- Oahu: Home to major city Honolulu, and famous for Waikiki Beach, Pearl Harbor, and the North Shore. This is the most populated island, while still having plenty of places to get away in nature.
- Kauai: Known as "The Garden Isle", it is the oldest Hawaiian Island and has rainforests covering most of its surface. Kauai is famous for its Jurassic Park-like scenery, the Na Pali coast, and Waimea Canyon. (Peter proposed to Samantha on the Na Pali coast!)
- Hawaii (Big Island): The largest and newest island in the chain, Hawaii still has active volcanoes. The Big Island is known for its lava flows and Kona coffee.

What to Pack
Maui in May is moderately warm on average, with temperatures in the mid-70s to lower-80s, and temperatures dropping into the upper-60s at night as the ocean breeze sweeps across the island.
While May has a lower chance for precipitation, please still prepare for the occasional rain shower to pass through. When it does rain, it usually only rains for 20-30 minutes this time of year.
Maui, and all of Hawaii, calls for comfortable, lightweight attire. The culture is laid back and casual, and you can see people walking around town in their beach coverups.
